Ullrich Afini-Awani (Director)

Ullrich Afini-Awani is a German lawyer by training with German/Nigerian nationality. He is born in Lagos/Nigeria, attended a German boarding school, studied law at the University of Heidelberg, trained as a clerk for judicial appointment at a German district court and was called to the bar of Frankfurt as a fully qualified lawyer thereafter. He returned to Nigeria in 1999, where he started managing investment projects. Ullrich Afini-Awani carries the organizational risk of the unincorporated Awani & Partners Limited Partnership as a private individual for all investment projects promoted through the Awani & Partners Private Equity Platform, which includes Globe Commodities International Exploration and Production Limited.

John George (Director)

John George is a Nigerian businessman, who  studied business administration at the University of Lagos and has acquired a deep understanding of the marginal oil field market in Nigeria during his professional career, offering marine services through his shareholdings in Jon Marino Ltd, Sub Sea 9 Ocean Services Limited and 9 Gas Limited since 2009.

Dr. Rajnish Misra (Director)

Dr. Rajnish Misra, a British citizen, holds a PhD in Chemical & Process Engineering and possesses 20 years of oil and gas operational and engineering design experience across the lifecycle of major multi-billion dollar capital projects for both global engineering design contractors and international supermajor oil companies.
Dr. Misra has successfully lead and delivered a wide range of oil field developments from Conceptual, FEED, Detailed Design through to the Operations phases. His technical expertise ranges from HP/HT gas condensate fields, black oil fields with challenging flow assurance properties in addition to offshore heavy oil field developments. In addition to a comprehensive design and operational knowledge of traditional offshore unit operations, Dr. Misra has successfully delivered project process engineering and operating principles for novel offshore processing technologies i.e. MEG Re-Injection & Reclamation in addition to LoSal®.

 Wemimo Okupe (Non-Executive-Director)

Wemimo Okupe, a Nigerian citizen, studied finance at the University of Washington. He is a seasoned risk and finance consultant of high repute and integrity with over 30 years of experience in structuring investments in Nigeria. He advises public and private entities on mitigating risks in the hostile Sub-Saharan business environment.

Abiodun Shode (Non-Executive-Director)

Abiodun Shode holds a BSc in Accounting from OAU, Ile-Ife and an MBA in Financial Management from Lagos State University. He is a Certified Pension Practitioner and executive director at Veritas Glanvills Pensions, where he is responsible for Investments, Benefits Administration, Contribution Processing/Reconciliation, Transfer Window operations, and Information & Communications Technology (ICT). Prior to his appointment as executive director of Veritas, Abiodun had put in over 25 years in the banking industry with hands-on experience in internal control, investigation & audit, retail banking, consumer banking, commercial banking, corporate banking, and structured business/finance.

Dr. Ingo Kiedaisch (Non-Executive Director)

Dr. Ingo Kiedaisch holds a PhD in business administration from Otto Beisheim University in Germany. He has served numerous companies on market and corporate development topics. He is an expert in business development and management, as well as corporate organisation. He has assisted in sourcing funding for numerous ventures, some of which are now publicly listed companies. He has been raising finance for Awani & Partners since 2005 and possesses over 15 years experience in structuring investments within West Africa. 

Dr. Robert Bosch (Non-Executive Director)

Dr. Robert Bosch holds a PhD in finance. He is a successful management consultant in the Financial Services sector, serving banks and stock exchanges. The focus of his consulting activities is across the interface between corporate strategy and organizational excellence. In these thematic areas he has advised clients in Europe, the Middle East and Asia for over 20 years.

Thomas Koch (Non-Executive-Director)

Mr. Thomas Koch studied business administration in Austria, Taiwan and the US. He trades various types of commodities worldwide with a focus on Africa. Besides commodity trading, he is also active in the IT sector and is majority shareholder in a legal-tech software company. His strength is market and business development. He adds his international trading know-how to the team.
